Mini diamond-tail cruiser with soft conical wheels. The Blazer 26 in Eames/Play features Mellow concave with kicktail and is constructed from Rosewood + Resin-7 hard rock maple.

Based on the colorful Eames TOY pattern art, and embellished with rosewood, our Eames collaborative cruiser is all about
the details. Look closely and you’ll notice deck hardware impressed with a “sunburst” logo, mark of authenticity on the wheels, and more. It features two quotes as highly relevant to skateboarding as they were to the items they lovingly created. A favorite is “Toys are not as innocent as they look. Toys and games are the prelude to serious ideas.”

  • Rosewood + Resin-7 Hard Rock Maple

    According to their grandson, Eames Demetrios, Rosewood was Charles and Ray’s favourite type of wood. It continues to grace the finish of many iconically Eames chairs, as well as our collaborative Blazer cruiserboard.

    In 1951, the Eameses had eclectic passions; Charles was more than an architect, and Ray was more than a painter. Together, their broad spectrum of interests resulted in a catalog of film, photography, furniture, and even, yes, toys. Charles once said, “Toys are not really as innocent as they look. Toys and games are precursors to serious ideas.”

  • Unique Eames Details

    To paraphrase Charles, it will in the end be the details that give this product its life. You may notice a molded pattern in the wheels inspired by the Eames FSW (Folding Plywood Screen), deck bolts featuring the “sunburst” icon, quotes in House Industries x Eames typefaces, and more upon close inspection.
